2021 Celebrity Cruise Millennium Sail Away from Seattle

It was a a beautiful day and early evening as we began our 7 day voyage on board the Celebrity Cruise Millennium headed for Alaska. Pier 66 is a picturesque starting point for a cruise and the Seattle city skyline expands beautifully as the ship leaves port. we’ve never been able to see the waterfront and Seattle skyline from this vantage point before and we truly enjoyed the view.

The Celebrity Millennium is one of the “Revolutionized” ships in the fleet. The Revolution is a modernization of the ships which really updates and adds refined and modernized touches to a ship which has been in service for a while. We had sailed the Millennium several times pre-revolution and always enjoyed ourselves, but the Revolution has truly updated and improved the ship in many ways.

Brix 25 is a special restaurant due to a creative menu, great and attentive service and an excellent location along the harbor front in downtown Gig Harbor, Washington. Given the reference to sugar levels in wine (brix), one can expect an excellent wine selection and this restaurant delivers on that promise as well.

Firwood Farm Alpacas

We spent some pleasant time visiting Firwood Farm Alpacas in Fife, Washington. Firwood Farm Alapacas is focused on Alpaca Rescue, so it has a great mission to rescue and foster alpacas in need. The visit allowed us to get up close to the alpacas, feed them, and, more importantly, learn about them from the knowledgeable owner of the farm. Firwood Farm also offers Alpaca Yoga, which we did not indulge in, but I think would be great fun for any yoga or alpaca fan.

LeMay Car Museum in Tacoma 2021

Wow, what a great surprise to visit such an outstanding collection of cars at the LeMay Car Museum in Tacoma. Spread across 4 levels in a cavernous and impressive facility, cars are beautifully displayed and grouped in broad categories for your enjoyment. There are themes throughout such as Route 66 and Powering the Future, so this is much more than a collection of special cars, its an experience that can be immersive for both the enthusiast and casual visitor alike. Drive over and give it a look.
