That’s right. My co-worker, that happens to be AI, can work from wherever is called their home on a given day and never has to set foot in the office physically.
OK, I have to acknowledge that they probably don’t have a foot (yet) and that probably they are stuck in a very air conditioned data center somewhere versus really being on a sunny beach. But the concept and sentiment are relevant nonetheless. Here is a productivity enhancing capability that interacts with me and interacts with our customers and yet, doesn’t have to physically be in the office to get their assignments done.
I’m very interested if this becomes a continuous discriminatory practice or one that changes over time. Why is it that I can productively interact with a remote worker but be expected to be in the office or productivity and creativity will suffer?
